Meaghan Manor Janovsky is a Massena native. She has been dancing for more years than she will admit to and loves to try any and all styles, but her favorite is tap. She has taken class from and/or worked with tappers Shey Sullivan, Michelle Dorrance, and Rhonda Miller. Meaghan has been with Tap To Toe for 10 years and is looking forward to another fun and fabulous dance year! She is most excited to be teaching an adult tap class this year. She plans to begin the year with some technique and basic skill development. The class will also have the opportunity to try different types of tap dancing such as classic tap, rhythm tap, tap and musical theater, and even some a Capella tap. This promises to be a fun and exciting class.
Meaghan had this to say about teaching for TTSD: "Tap to Toe is my second family. I am so lucky to have a place to go where I can express myself creatively. My fellow teachers are some of my best friends, and my students can always put a smile on my face and in my heart!" Meaghan also teaches 5th grade at Nightengale Elementary. When she is not with her school or dance "kids" she is with her wonderful husband, Ace and her children: 5 year old Lydia and new baby Phoenix.

“My personal journey with yoga started as a late teenager. I was struggling with depression and homesickness and found solace in yoga. I have chosen to do parent/caregiver and child classes together because children don’t do what you tell them, they do what you show them. In today’s busy world I feel it’s important for both the child and the adult to learn to take care of themselves physically, mentally and spiritually. Yoga is not a religion... it’s a way of life. Yoga means unity, unity of the mind, body and spirit. Now don’t let that scare you. I have designed these classes with kids in mind. They can’t do it wrong and it’s a lot of laughs. Let go of any preconceived notions of what yoga is, if you can breathe you and your child can do this class. Your little one will amaze you as they transform into a little yogi. I sneak in breathing techniques, visualisation, exercise, meditation, relaxation, gratitude and lots and lots of fun. No two classes are the same. My only warning is that yoga will creep into your life... even after you leave the studio. May we spread the benefits of our practice out into the world. Thank you to Miss Brettany and the Tap to Toe family for giving me the opportunity to share my love of yoga with you and your children.”
Emily Love, licensed Zumba®️ Instructor, has been a stay at home Mom for 7 years and absolutely loves kids! After teaching Zumba®️classes at the studio for several months, she decided to further her passion and get licensed in teaching Zumba®️ Kids Junior (ages 4-7) and Zumba®️Kids (ages 8-11). Along with these two classes, she will be offering a Zumba®️ 7th-12th grade class (ages 12-19). Miss Shauna was raised in Massena and her love for dance started at the age of six and never stopped. She graduated with her first bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from Plattsburgh State University. She then went on to work at The Fulton Theatre in Lancaster Pennsylvania until she had her two wonderful children, Jordan and Jason. They inspired her to go back to dance and she taught little ones dance for four years as well as teaching nursery school. One of her fondest memories is a little one taking her first steps during one of her classes. She is now working with adults with developmental disabilities where she enjoys participating with recreation, including music and dance. In 2018, Miss Shauna completed her second degree in Sociology.
She is excited to return to teaching by leading our new Music and Movement classes for little ones to enjoy with a big love. Children, boys and girls alike, 8 months to five years can enjoy these classes with one of their favorite adult loved ones. It's great bonding time, and so much fun all at once. They will be singing, moving, and storytelling while playing with a variety of props including rhythm sticks, shaky eggs, scarves, maracas, streamers, bean bags and tambourines to name a few. These activities will help in developing language, fine and gross motor skills, as well as non-verbal communication skills.
Miss Shauna says, " I'm very grateful for the opportunity to join the many talented teachers and students at Tap to Toe, and to play a role in the new adventures they are embracing!"
